Editorials
Internet Stocks: You'll hear some folks make negative comments
about the Internet & Internet stocks. Any new technology & trend
will have some ups & downs, but if you are careful about which Internet
stocks you choose, you should do ok.
I suggest four things:
1. The Internet is here to stay.
2. Invest in Internet stocks after they have had their initial
rise following their IPO, but only after they have taken their
subsequent hit & are clearly on their way up again.
3. Buy them only after you have called a top officer of the company
& satisfied yourself that their policies, management's record,
& marketing plan are exactly the way you would want them to be
if you were running the company yourself.
4. Then hold them for the long pull, because the really well-
run Internet companies that appeal to a large market segment certainly
have the advantage of a huge & growing market.
New Free Service: Some of you requested me to send you updates
& other key information in between issues when it is available,
& to send it via e-mail. We will comply, & it will not involve any
additional cost to you, but to comply, we'll need your e-mail address.
Please fax it to me at 843-705-5592, or e-mail it to me at up415@aol.com
-- just say you're a Conservative Speculator subscriber & want e-mail
updates. We'll institute this service when we receive sufficient
of your e-mail addresses.
Conservative Speculator Access: No new subscriptions will
be accepted for hard copy mailing. Other than the tiny group of
12 subscribers who have been with us for many years & do not as
yet have computers, everyone has to go to WallStreetCorner to get
each new issue. They can also see or download the issues archived
since we went on-line.
WallStreetCorner.com: If you have shares in a company you
believe is really good, call them to suggest they be on WallStreetCorner.
Doing so is in your best interest. We feel strongly that participation
on WallStreetCorner.com is one of the most effective things management
can do for their shareholders. Please ask them to call us at 843-705-5591,
fax us at 843-705-5592, or e-mail us at up415@aol.com. Thank you.
Steve Forbes: It's almost the last call for the luncheon
Rosanne & I will host for Steve Forbes on Hilton Head in late 10/99.
Purpose: Allow Forbes to meet CEOs of small-cap com-panies to discuss
their concerns. Steve says, & I agree: "The heart and soul of the
American economy is small business." There is room for 25 & each
will contribute $1,000 to Forbes' cam-paign. If you know a top person
of a small-cap company who would like an invitation, please call
Rosanne or I at 843-705-5591, fax us at 843-705-5592, or e-mail
us at up415@aol.com.

SportsPrize Entertainment, Inc.
Overview
According to a report by Jupiter Communications (11/98), sports
scores & information is the #1 reason for getting online for over
one third of the Internet news audience. SportsPrize's strategy
is to capitalize on both the popularity of professional sports &
the phenomenal growth of the Internet.
The "SportsPrize Tournament" game will be the focal point of SportsPrize.com's
interactive Sports Community. The e-commerce & incremental advertising
revenue potential of this site represents a significant opportunity.
www.SportsPrize.com is scheduled to be in operation before year-end.
There will be weekly prizes, large quarterly prizes (cars & trips),
& a $1 million cash prize at the end of year 2000.
History
On 5/12/99, Kodiak Graphics Company acquired SportsPrize Entertainment
Inc., a private company, for 10,000,000 common shares of Kodiak.
The name was changed to SportsPrize Entertainment Inc. Private placements
totaling $3,500,000 are funding development of the web site, proprietary
software, & operations.
Business
SportsPrize.com will evolve into a unique multi-faceted on-line
entertainment & e-commerce community that will appeal to the enormous
on-line sports audience. The site's "SportsPrize Tournament," a
proprietary game, will be the site's focal point. Experts in game
& software development are engineering the proprietary software.
The company is developing four segments, each known to generate
major impact & positioning on the Internet:
1. Game: Proprietary "SportsPrize Tournament"
2. Micro-portal site: Live sports feed, chat room, free e-mail,
& a sports based e-mail community
3. Shopping malls for sporting goods: Business-to-consumer
4. Auction site: Includes special sporting goods promotions
The "SportsPrize Tournament" will attract sports enthusiasts &
provide a place for them to exercise their competitive spirit. The
chance to "win" is intended to provide "stickiness" (keeps enthusiasts
returning to the site). Major sporting events such as the Stanley
Cup playoffs, the World Series, the Super Bowl, & the NBA finals
will provide tie-in opportunities for the on-site game & its merchandisers.
The SportsPrize web site is being designed to accommodate quick
& easy cross-linking between sports fans & sponsor sites to encourage
commercial activity. The intent is to create a dynamic environment
& community for sports fans that provides the opportunity for "hands-on"
involvement. The ability to reach an audience of mass appeal with
a tailored product is one of the major concepts of the company.
The SportsPrize community activities will include:
1. SportsPrize Tournament: A multi-sport, multi-event, inter-active
entertainment site. Membership is free, & prizes or points will
be given for merchandise discounts in the SportsPrize Winners
Mall.
2. SportsPrize Winners Mall: Where prizes & points, earned by
the skill of the player, can be redeemed for sports merchandise.
3. SportsPrize Results & Ranking: Where player statistics are
collected along with important demographic information. Tournament
winners are automatically advanced to the SportsPrize annual GrandPrize
pool.
4. SportsPrize Clearance Center: Top selling (last season) brand
name sports merchandise offered at liquidation prices -- below
wholesale.
5. SportsPrize Auction: A fully equipped auction hall with state-of-the-art
e-commerce facilities. It will include special sponsor & supplier
promotions.
6. SportsPrize Retail Mall: Where players visit online sports
merchandise & service locations.
7. SportsPrize Chat Room: Where players chat with sports fans
& an occasional sports celebrity from around the world.
