president Kenneth Shenkman, Ph.D., an Internet expert, decided to provide what is wanted & needed by the New Age market -- a combination of things that only could be accomplished on the Internet. NACT was founded 1/29/99 as Psychicnet.com, Inc. to provide New Age services & products on the Internet. On 4/6/99, it did a reverse merger with a public shell having 2.7 million shares out & changed the name of the surviving entity, controlled by the founders of Psychicnet, to Newagecities.com, Inc. Business/Products The company is developing the Mind, Body & Soul NetworkTM brand. MBSN is a place where members of the New Age community can interact, be entertained, & shop in an environment that caters to their needs & desires. MBSN integrates community & commerce through a network of different sites & features. It focuses primarily on the New Age devotee -- it offers updated content & a forum for community interaction. A wide assortment of features, all related to the New Age & alternative health care areas, are planned. For example, as mentioned, other merchants can open virtual storefronts at NACT's site where they can market their publications & products. If we at WallStreetCorner, for example, like a particular product that NACT offers, & we feel it would appeal to our sophisticated audience, we will be able to offer that product at our site -- the purchase would actually be completed by newagecities.com, & we would receive a commission on the sale. As you probably noticed, psychic readings over the phone have been quite popular, with extensive advertising on TV. We've never taken advantage of them, but obviously many have, or the TV advertising could not be afforded. NACT will do the phone operations one better. They will have a "See & Hear" psychic feature. Using "streaming" technology, users can receive online readings with audio & video -- users will both see & hear the psychic during the reading, making the experience more interesting. Following the reading, the user will have the option to download a full audio/visual copy of the reading to their computer at no additional charge. There will also be Pay-Per-View events. NACT will videotape well known, popular New Age personalities, digitize the lectures & workshops, & allow visitors to view them in the convenience of their homes at any time they want, for a fee. This is far better than having to travel to a lecture hall at a specific time to attend the lecture. |
NACT will host an online New Age University. It will offer a full range of college level degrees. Incidentally, did you know that there are about 47 well-respected, well-known universities in the U.S. that have formal departments of parapsychology, on a level with their departments of mathematics, english, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, history, etc.? Entertainment on MBSN is geared to bringing users back on a regular basis. NACT recently launched a 24-hour Internet-only radio station at www.newagesound.com. It will permit NACT to sell "on-air" commercials as well as the now traditional banners, etc. on the web sites. Users will be able to listen to CDs, & if they like what they hear, they can order the CD with a single click of their mouse.
