Codes: At the end of each Update & Sneak, there
are three codes. They have a rating from 1 to 10. Those numbers
reflect my personal opinion. Please -- do not take action based
on my opinion alone. Do four things before taking action: (1) Read
my original writeup to get an overall feel (in the case of updates
on recommendations); (2) Get the latest 10-Q, 10-K, corporate profile,
& news releases; you can access them at www.wallstreetcorner.com
on the Internet; (3) Study them; & (4) Call a key member of management
to get a final impression. If anything bothers you regarding that
call, pass. There are lots of situations. Do not invest unless everything
about a situation feels good to you.
"R" stands for "Risk Rating." A "1" means I view the
situation as having an extreme amount of risk. A "10" means very
low risk -- a much sounder, more financially stable situation. You'll
see hardly any with a "1" or "10" rating. I chose "10" to mean lower
risk so the higher the number after each of the three codes, the
more favorable the rating.
"M" stands for "Midterm Appreciation Potential." A "1"
means I view the situation as having a small degree of midterm ("mid-term"
is six to 12 months) potential. A "10" means really outstanding
midterm potential.
"L" stands for "Long-term Appreciation Potential." A
"1" means I view the situation as having a small degree of long-term
("long-term" is over one year) potential. A "10" means really outstanding
long-term potential.
Bion Environmental Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board/BION
-- CS 6/99) had excellent press in Business Week 7/19/99 in an article
titled "A Pigsty That Doesn't Stink Like One." Tulsaworld.com on
7/27/99 featured an article by Sonya Colberg on Bion titled "Waste
Saved at Hog Farms."
Even The Wall Street Journal on 6/16/99 covered Bion in an article

DCH Technology, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board/DCHT -- CS 6/99)
announced 7/19/99 a key contract award from NorthWest Power Systems
of Bend, Oregon, a division of IdaCorp. (NYSE/IDA). This initial
order for a three-kilowatt fuel cell system is part of an overall
contract that NorthWest Power has received from Bonneville Power
Authority for 110 residential sized fuel cells, worth $3,500,000
over three years. Bonneville is a federal power marketing agency.
Part of the U.S. Dept. of Energy, it supplies about half the power
to Oregon, Washington, Idaho, & western Montana.
NorthWest Power announced 7/14/99 they had successfully tested
a new fuel processor that converts diesel into high-purity hydrogen.
Without the need for further purification, the hydrogen was fed
to a proton-exchange-membrane (PEM) fuel cell that produced electricity.
DCHT, in its Valencia, CA plant, will manufacture the electronic
controls, cooling system, & other hardware that will be integrated
with the fuel cell at DCHT's Wisconsin fuel cell plant. According
to DCHT president David Walker, the only other manufacturer supplying
a similar fuel cell to NorthWest Power is De Nora, S.p.A., Milan,
Italy.
The PEM hydrogen fuel cell being produced by DCHT was developed
at the Los Alamos National Laboratory -- DCHT has a cooperative
research agreement & an exclusive license agreement with Los Alamos
to develop & market those fuel cells.
I consider the NorthWest Power step a significant breakthrough
for DCHT -- it is the first time DCHT's PEM fuel cell will be tested
for a large, whole-house electric supply application. Up to now,
the fuel cells that have produced & tested have been for smaller
power applications.
As I told my audience in The Bahamas, I predict that the use of
hydrogen fuel cells will eventually replace fossil fuels in automobiles,
trucks, buses, & ships. This situation has great long-term potential.
I suggest you check it out, since the price is still at an attractively
low level.

Swissray International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board/SRMI --

This company has come a long way since I first covered it in '96.
I like the fact that image quality is high -- it permits more accurate
diagnosis. Images are available within seconds, there is no smelly
film development, archiving of images is on disk so they are readily
available, can be easily transmitted via local & global networks,
& take up much less space. I believe the long-term appreciation
